On behalf of Deborah Charbonneau (who could not attend MLA this year), Keith Cogdill and Mary Riordan welcomed attendees. This was followed by a review of the agenda and annual report prepared by Deborah.

Among the agenda items was a list of conveners at upcoming meetings. Keith Cogdill will convene the SIG at the 2008 MLA meeting in Chicago, and Pat Auflick will convene the SIG at the 2009 meeting in Honolulu. Jenny Pierce agreed to serve as convener at the 2010 meeting in Washington, DC. Secretaries were not identified, but volunteers will be requested.

Keith Cogdill will attend the program planning meeting on Wednesday morning, May 23. At that meeting, potential program sessions planned for the 2008 that the SIG might co-sponsor will be explored.
The remainder of the meeting was devoted to brief updates from those present.

The business meeting adjourned shortly after 9:00.
